How I started
When I was a little girl I loved a hand made rabbit my great-aunt made, the only problem was it was given to my brother before I was born! She made me a quilt that had a circus on it and as much as I loved it, but it wasn't a best rabbit friend like my brother had.
When I was about 6 I got a make your own rabbit kit! I was so thrilled I made my own rabbit doll with my mom, she used to embroid so she embroided the eyes and mouth for me to complete the rabbit that was mine. My mother passed away rather earlie in her life, and the only thing I was surprised to get back was a teddy bear I made her for her birthday one year.
Being at a cusp in my life and just looking to learn more about myself and the world around me, I wondered what I could do with my time that would bring me joy and perhaps others joy too! Then it dawned on me, that rabbit and that bear brought me more joy and more memories in my life than any other objects I've safe kept.
I've won teddies at the fair, gotten them for valentines day, but they never have that best friend feel like a handmade teddy made with love and a personality.
Each bear I create is born through their story, I find the bits and pieces to their little teddy soul and stitch em in with a gentale caress. Any bear you get from me is a best friend waiting to go on a journey with you.
They will make sure you arn't alone when you go to bed, and be there to hug you when you need, a paw that is ready to wipe your tears, and will take you into the sunshine to play.
